Issues with video formats
Learn more about all the supported video formats
Many video formats are supported. On Windows, this is done using DirectShow filters.
On Mac, it is done using Quicktime. So if Windows Media Player or QuickTime can play a video,
it is likely that it will work just fine.
Error: Cannot playback the file. The format is not supported.
It means that your system needs an additional codec.
If you really do not get it to work, we suggest that you convert your video to DivX.
What to do if the format of my video is not supported by the video browser? (example: AVCHD, MTS, FLV, DVD, VOD format)
On Windows, just convert your video to an AVI (DivX or Xvid codec). On Mac, convert your video to MOV.
What about HD (High Definition)?
Contenta Video Browser is fully compatible with HD videos.
